Gold Prices Rally as Fresh Peace Efforts Boost Market Sentiment

Gold rallied by around 1.5% on Tuesday after renewed diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing the US-Iran conflict helped calm inflation concerns and reduced expectations of further pressure on the Federal Reserve to tighten monetary policy.

The shift in market sentiment boosted demand for the precious metal, with gold rebounding sharply from the key $4,000 support area, a level that has successfully withstood several downside tests over the past month. The latest advance has retraced roughly 50% of the decline from the $4,203 peak to the $3,960 low, easing immediate bearish pressure.

Technical indicators have also improved, as the price moved above both the 10-day and 20-day moving averages at $4,050 and $4,062, respectively, while the 14-day momentum indicator returned to positive territory. However, the recovery is not yet strong enough to confirm a broader trend reversal.

Should supportive fundamental conditions remain in place, gold could extend its gains toward higher resistance levels. A sustained break above $4,110, representing the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement, followed by a move through $4,145, the 76.4% retracement level, would further strengthen the near-term outlook and bring the $4,203 recovery high back into focus. A decisive break above this key barrier would provide the first clear signal of a bullish reversal.
